Why You Need Strength Training for Boxing

Boxing is a demanding sport that requires power, explosiveness, and endurance. While our classes are exceptional for developing high-intensity endurance, investing time in a well-structured strength training program is equally vital. This is crucial for improving boxing power, preventing injuries, and ensuring longevity as an athlete.

“Heavy Hitters” is a 4-week strength training program designed to equip you with the fundamental strength elements required to excel in the sport of boxing. Coach Ally will guide you through foundational strength training to integrating sport-specific exercises.

Program Details

  • Duration: 4 Weeks starting Monday November 13th.

  • Sessions: Monday & Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm.

  • Details: 2 coach guided sessions per week + 1 optional (but recommended) unguided session.

  • Who: Any PABC member. No weight room experience necessary!

  • Cost: $150

  • Class size: 12 spots available (Weight Room)

Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist  

Ally is a certified strength and conditioning coach, holding a degree in kinesiology. In addition to his academic background, he has dedicated numerous years to assisting Mark Collins in coaching the youth competition team. Ally's expertise lies in his ability to seamlessly integrate both boxing and strength training, making him an ideal coach for individuals seeking a comprehensive approach to their fitness journey.

  • Limited to active PABC members only.   

  • Registration is only complete if full payment of $150 is provided.  

  • Registration is non-refundable or transferrable.
