The Pan Am Boxing Club youth program is free of charge for all boys and girls ages 13-17. There are no strings attached or secret fees, all youth are welcome to train at no cost!

Youth Boxing

The workout

Youth Boxing class teaches the basics of boxing. Skills and techniques such as stance, movement, jab and cross are introduced. Our classes are non-contact and do not involve any sparring. Workouts can include anything from cardio calisthenics, shadow boxing, bag work, partner drills, hand pads, and core strengthening. Not only will classes improve overall strength and endurance, but it is also great for developing self-esteem, confidence, and discipline.

Our Youth Program runs all year long. Classes are held twice a week on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Equipment

Participants must bring a change of clothes, runners, and a water bottle. All equipment necessary for the workout will be provided, including boxing gloves. Those attending classes regularly are recommended to purchase their own set of gloves.

How to Join

 

To begin training at PABC, interested participants must register as a member of the club. To do so, arrive at the gym 15-20 minutes prior to class time to fill out the membership form and get ready for class. A parent or guardian must be present during the first visit to fill out and sign the form on behalf of the youth. That's all that is needed to join and start training!

 

Please be advised that in order to participate in their first class, youths MUST be on time. Those that are late will be instructed to attend the next available class. We are centrally located in downtown Winnipeg so please take traffic and parking into consideration for your commute.
