Spring is in the air and March was nothing short of electric at Pan Am Boxing Club! From fight nights and tournaments to powerful fundraisers and new programs, the energy in the gym has never been higher. Here's everything you need to know about what went down and what’s coming up!

FIGHT TEAM HIGHLIGHTS

March 1 - Fight Night at Pan Am

We kicked off the month with a bang! Our March 1st Fight Card was a massive success, drawing a packed house of members, family, and fans. Pan Am had boxers in 7 of the 8 bouts on the card. Out of the 5 official judged bouts with Pan Am fighters, we brought home 4 wins—an incredible showing of skill, grit, and preparation from our fighters.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support!

March 19-22 - Canada Cup (Calgary, Alberta)

Four of our fighters, along with Head Coach Dylan, made the trip to Canada Cup in Calgary, Alberta, one of the premier amateur boxing tournaments in the country. Each athlete competed in the Open Division of their respective weight classes. We’re thrilled to share the results:

  • Gold: Priyanka (Elite 48kg, Open Division)

  • Bronze: Victor (Youth 55kg, Open Division)

  • Bronze: Ripan (Elite 60kg, Open Division)

With her dominant performances at the Canada Cup, Priyanka - the current 48kg National Champion guaranteed her invitation to Team Canada’s upcoming International Training Camp in Puerto Rico! This is the beginning of a major journey as she works toward representing Canada at the Women’s World Championships in September 2025.

March 22 - Brickhouse Fight Card

Five Pan Am boxers stepped into the ring at the Brickhouse Boxing event in Winnipeg. It was a tough night of competition, with 2 wins out of 5 bouts, but every fighter showed tremendous heart and battled through some very close matches. Big props to all our athletes for stepping up and representing the club with pride.

This event also marked a milestone—Stefan had his first fight on this card, showing great promise in his debut. His next bout is already scheduled for the April 5th Canada vs. USA event in Minot, ND. Let’s go Stefan!

On behalf of everyone at Pan Am Boxing Club (PABC) and Pan Am Place (PAP), we want to extend a deep and heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you! Your energy, generosity, and commitment before and during this fundraiser were nothing short of inspiring. Because of your dedication, we raised an incredible $80,740—funds that will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of the men currently living at PAP, and those who will one day call it home.
