September and October were extremely busy months for Team Pan Am. With the season kicking off strong, our athletes stayed active, competing across Canada and preparing for both the Manitoba Provincials and the upcoming Canadian National Championships in Winnipeg this November! |
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS |
![]() | Intermediate Sparring Program (Sept 29-Oct 25) Sixteen graduates from our Beginner Sparring Program joined the first-ever Intermediate Sparring Program this fall. The 4-week program focused on developing intermediate-level skills and concluded with test matches and group open sparring. It was a great step up for those continuing their boxing journey, and we’re excited to bring it back next year following our next Beginner session. |
![]() Coach Ally who is co-leading with Don | Intro to Boxing Program Pan Am is running another Intro to Boxing Program this fall for people looking to get a clean start in the club and the sport! This session is being led for the first time by coaches Ally and Don, and it’s off to a fantastic start with 25+ participants. We’re excited to see everyone’s progress as the program continues and to welcome more new members into the Pan Am community. |
![]() | Volunteer Opportunity - Canadian Nationals With the Canadian National Championships taking place November 25–30 in Winnipeg, Boxing Manitoba is seeking volunteers to help with event operations. ![]() A young boxer readies to hit the bag | Kids Monthly Boxing Class This winter, kids ages 6-9 can enjoy a boxing class every first Sunday of the month! Classes follow the same format as our summer series. For 45 minutes from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm kids can engage in physical activity that incorporates boxing suitable to their skill level. Pre-register for $20 to save your spot or take your chances with a $25 drop-in on the day of. Spots are limited so pre-book early! More info HERE. |

![]() Kayden & Sage high-five | BOX-A-THON 2025Â On September 27, Pan Am hosted its annual Box-A-Thon Fundraiser, and it was our most successful ever! With 37 participants and an incredible $16,793 raised, the event supported both Pan Am Boxing Club and Pan Am Place, helping us continue to provide free and accessible youth training. |

![]() Victor celebrates a big win | September 6th - Sarnia, ON Pan Am’s Youth Champion Victor travelled with Head Coach Dylan to Sarnia for a Canada vs Ireland card. Facing a more experienced Irish opponent, Victor came home with a close but well-earned victory. |
![]() Bout List from Alliance Fight Night #2 in SK | September 13 - Saskatoon, SK Team Pan Am brought 2 youth and 2 elite athletes to Saskatoon for a one-day show, coming home with 2 wins and 2 close losses. One of the youth boxers competed for the first time, gaining valuable experience. |
![]() Venue in Selkirk | September 20 - Selkirk, MB Pan Am athletes (Robyn Grant, Stefan Mezibroski, Brandon Swaity, and Bohdan Solyhan) took part in the Maulers Fight Night in Selkirk, a sold-out event with a massive crowd and exciting local energy. |
![]() Dylan coaching with Team Canada VS Team USA | September 27 - Melee Gala & Saskatoon On the same weekend, Team Pan Am split up for two major events. Head Coach Dylan served as Head Coach for Team Canada at the United Boxing Club’s Annual Melee Gala: Team Canada vs Team USA, while assistant coaches travelled to Saskatoon with three athletes. ![]() Poster for Provincials 2025 | October 18-19 - Manitoba Provincials The Provincials took place over two days: Day 1 hosted by Power Boxing Club and Day 2 right here at Pan Am Boxing Club, marking our first home show of the season. Pan Am entered 25 athletes, with 14 competing and 8 qualifying for Nationals! Qualified Athletes: Male: Victor (50kg), Jerzy (55kg), Ripan (60kg), Nick (75kg) Female: Priyanka (48kg), Robyn (57kg), Kat (65kg), Taina (70kg) |
![]() Snapshot of Taina at the national camp | October 24-31 - Nationals Training Camp, Montreal, QB Following Provincials, Priyanka, Victor, Jerzy, and Taina attended a week-long National Training Centre Camp in Montreal, training with Canada’s top upcoming athletes. It was the first National Camp experience for three of them and a valuable opportunity for all.. |

Four athletes fought, with three wins and one controversial loss. The event featured three youth boxers and one elite athlete. |

Kat headlined the event, boxing smart and effective through three rounds but narrowly losing by split decision. A strong showing that proved her readiness for Nationals. |
What's Next for Pan Am...
![]() | Canadian National Championships - Winnipeg MB From November 25–30, Winnipeg will proudly host the Canadian National Championships for the first time in over 15 years! The event will take place at the Sport Manitoba Building in downtown Winnipeg, bringing together the nation’s best amateur boxers in an unforgettable week of competition. This is a major moment for boxing in Manitoba and an incredible opportunity for our local community to witness elite-level competition firsthand. Eight Pan Am athletes have qualified and will be representing both Team Manitoba and Pan Am Boxing Club throughout the tournament. We encourage everyone to show their support, buy tickets, and come cheer on our athletes as they fight for national glory and the chance to earn a spot on Team Canada! |
As we wrap up an incredible fall season, we want to thank all of our athletes, coaches, and volunteers for their continued commitment to the club. The energy, effort, and teamwork over these past two months have been outstanding, and we couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved. Let’s carry that same momentum into Nationals and beyond.
